1/16 Kobe Earthquake Remembrance at Kobe Bell
The SKSCA will hold its annual Kobe Earthquake Remembrance Ceremony at the Kobe Bell on Tuesday, January 16, 2007. You are invited to meet at the Kobe Bell on the Seattle Center grounds (north of the International Fountain and south of the Opera House) at 12:15 p.m. The ceremony will begin with remarks at 12:30 p.m. and will conclude with a moment of silence and the ringing of the Kobe Bell at 12:46 pm, which corresponds to the minute of silence and ceremonies taking place in Kobe in the early morning of the 17th.
2/10 Japan Night with the Sonics
You know that 2007 is the 50th anniversary of the Seattle-Kobe sister city relationship, but did you also know that it's the 40th anniversary season of the Seattle SuperSonics? In celebration of these important milestones, we would like to invite you along with your family and friends to Japan Night with the Sonics on February 10 at 7pm (vs. the Sacramento Kings).

SKSCA is proud to present the 2007 winner of the Kobe Jazz Vocal Queen Contest, Miwa Wakabayashi, in her American debut on Monday, October 15, 2007 at Dimitriou's Jazz Alley. Doors open at 6:00 pm.
